| Silverware for Teddington Men's Saplings and 4's | 20/04/2009 |
| Both the Saplings and T4's won their divisional cup finals on the 18th April at Surbiton. The 4's came into the match against PHC Chiswick in a positive mood having thrashed them 10-2 a few weeks early and despite hitting the bar on a flick and offering them 30+ short corners came through to win 3-2. The Saplings had won the semi-final against Spencer 4-0 with only their second clean sheet of the season, so we also feeling fairly confident. However, they had to do it the hard way, coming back from 3-0 down against a feisty Old Loughts (they got 4 yellow cards) to draw 3-3 at full time, 5-5 after 5 normal penalty flicks and then take the win 7-6 in front of a large crowd on the third sudden death flick. The trophies will no doubt be on show at the annual dinner on the 16th May. | |

| Goal record for Ladies Academy | 14/04/2009 |
| The The team finished unbeaten after 18 games, scoring 152 goals along the way – an average of more than eight a game. Across the season 37 girls played for the Academy – which constitutes Teddington’s Sixth Ladies team and is used by the club to give young players their first taste of adult hockey. A total of 24 girls scored goals – including (to everyone’s delight) goalkeeper Dani Croucher during one of her rare outfield appearances. Fleur Gibson was the team’s top scorer with 21 goals in 11 outings. Jessica Pead was second highest with 17 goals in 10 appearances and Libby Williams the third highest sharp-shooter with 13 goals in 12 games. The final record for the Academy for season was: P 20, W 18, D2, L0, F152, A12. Unsurprisingly, the Academy won their division and gave the squad the best record of any team in the five divisions, being one of only two teams to be unbeaten this season. | |
